Do-it-yourself LLC Formation and Incorporation

My general recommendation is that investors and business owners work with a good local attorney to setup a limited liability company or a corporation.

Spending a few hundred or even a couple of thousand bucks on good legal and business planning advice is, in my opinion, a great investment if you can find someone who's good.

A S corporation isn't really a corporation but rather a tax accounting classification that's available to both limited liability companies and regular, old-style corporations. In my opinion, the right way to create an S corporation for most small businesses is by using a limited liability company. Note that the incorporation kits described in the next paragraph also provide information about how to create an S corporation using not a limited liability company but rather a regular, old-style corporation.
